The AJ beetle eater is an Australian-made product. This trap is a favourite with experienced beekeepers, because it can be washed out and re-used. Simply fill the trap with cheap cooking oil or diatomaceous earth, and place it between two frames in the top box. The bees force the beetle up and into the trap, where they will drown in the oil or become dehydrated by the diatomaceous earth.
